All Dreamworks Beds wooden bedsteads and headboards are crafted from hard woods. Many are supplied in rubber wood, the ultimate ‘green’ product. The timber is only harvested when the rubber tree has reached the end of its rubber producing life. Others are created from Oak.

High quality “full hide” leather that will improve, in appearance, with age.

Traditional and contemporary designs are available. A wide selection of sizes are offered on many of the models, including 90 cm and even, in one case, a 120 cm width, for that smaller bedroom. In addition to hardwoods, leather and painted models are featured. A hardwood guest bed, with two beds the same size, completes our current collection. Our agents constantly source the world for new innovations.

Many of our competitors use wood planks, with wide gaps. These can seriously damage the mattress and provide much reduced comfort levels because they yield little or no ‘spring’. At Dreamworks Beds our Slats are engineered using special hardwood laminations. The slats are strengthened then curved into shape and sealed. This expensive and time consuming process allows for a much higher level of sleeping comfort as the slats effectively offer a similar level of comfort as upholstered sprung bases. We provide a minimum of thirty-six of these high quality slats in each 135 cm size bedstead. This means that the gap between each slat is narrow. You can therefore purchase a good quality mattress, safe in the knowledge that the sleeping platform will enhance your ultimate comfort level.

Your luxury sprung slats are supported by durable rubberised suspension cups. These further enhance the sleeping benefits by allowing some controlled movement. Each slat is provided with two cups.

Lesser quality bedsteads tend to use cheap soft wood planks and support rails. Dreamworks Beds only use steel tubing for all of the support rails that carry the sleeping platforms of our hardwood bedsteads. These give much stronger support when allied with the suspension cups. Our centre rails are also supplied in steel thus providing extra stability.
